Dip Recipes To Try

The best addition to finger foods is the dip. Here are some of the best dip recipes to try:

BLT Dip

This one is a great dip for formal and non formal events. This dip really tastes like BLT!

What you will need:

1 pound of bacon
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 cup of sour cream
1 tomato– peeled, diced and seeded

What you need to do:

In a deep and large skillet, place the bacon and fry. Cook this over medium heat until it becomes golden brown. Place on a plate with paper towels so that the fats and oils from the bacon will be absorbed. Set it aside to cool.

Place sour cream and mayonnaise in a medium bowl. Mix this well. Crumble the crispy bacon into bits and add this into the sour cream and mayonnaise mixture. Diced the tomatoes and add it on the mixture. Serve right away.

Black Garlic Mushroom Dip

A dip that will make everything delicious!

What you will need:

1 large onion– thinly sliced
2 tbsps of butter
355g of mushrooms– roughly chopped
1 tsp of sweet red wine
½ tsp of balsamic vinegar
1 cup sour cream
add salt and pepper to taste

What you need to do:

Over medium heat, fry the onions until it becomes soft. Add in the butter. Once the butter has melted, lower down the heat. Stir the onions until it has caramelized. Add in the mushroom and black garlic. Saute this for 5- 10 minutes more or until the mixture has become dark and soft. Add in the marsala and balsamic vinegar. Stir well. Season with pepper and salt. Allow the mixture to cool then place it in a food processor until a chunky dip is created. Cool once again. Place in a bowl with the sour cream. Serve.

Cheddar Ranch Dip

This one greatly resembles other bacon and cheese dip but this one has some spice added into it. This is best with celery sticks, tortillas and is even better as a spread!

What you will need;

16 oz of sour cream
1 oz of Ranch dressing
1 can of bacon bits
1 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese

What you need to do:

With the use of a mixer, mix the sour cream and the ranch-style dressing in a medium bowl. Add in the bacon bits and the cheddar cheese. Mix it well. Cover the bowl and allow it to chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or longer. Serve chilled.

Another alternative for this would be to fry real bacon. Make sure that it is crispy. Allow it to cool down for a while. Crumble it. This will be a great alternative for canned bacon bits.
