This was one of those days when you decided to stop. Having driven past countless times, always saying I should pop in, I finally did, and boy was it worth it.
Located on the road as you turn off from Kettering to Grafton Underwood, you cross over the single carriage bridge into Warkton Village. On the Bend at Moorfield Farm, there is an entrance to Moorfield Courtyard, where the Warkton Pantry lives.
The Pantry / Cafe does have outdoor seating (inside is tiny, but wonderful) and they have a dog post, so perfect for walkers or an excuse to walk the dog. In winter or rainy days, because of the lack of inside seating, I would say this is more of a Take Away and the Warkton pantry does label themselves as a take away.
As this was a flying visit, I would not stand up in court and tell you what you can find, and of course having a savoury, rather then a sweet tooth, the sausage rolls screamed out to me, they looked and tasted fantastic.
They offer:
- Freshly made sandwiches
- Sliced Cakes
- Traybakes
- Cold and Hot Drinks
- Homemade Jams and Chutneys
