Art & Cultural Exhibitions in Essex This Season

Essex, UK is a county with a large and wonderful selection of things to do and see. The Essex Tourism Website divides this beautiful county into four main categories of tourist attractions. Art & Culture in Essex

Art and culture is a fast growing part of Essex. There are year round attractions to see and experience. There are fantastic art and cultural exhibition which occurs during the summer season. This summer’s exhibition is the fifth annual event.

The exhibition is divided into different areas. Each area is scheduled at different dates. However, these dates sometimes overlap.

Barleylands Arts and Crafts Festival is an exhibition taking place from 2 August to 30 August. There are 25 artists at this exhibition along with 50 craft shops. The artists use a variety of mediums. Along with arts and crafts, there is an animal park, a campsite, a picnic area, a restaurant and finally a cafe.

The Jaywick Coastal Village is another exhibition taking place. This interesting coastal village is hosting their exhibition 14 September – 3 November. The artists participating in this exhibition are all local artists. Many of their art pieces are made from natural items found right on the coastline. The Rochford Art Trail takes place 19-28 September. The time varies from venue to venue. You may call 01702 318171 to find out more information about hours. This is another exhibit that will feature many local artists. There is something here for everybody. Design makers, painters, and ceramic artists are just a few examples of what will be displayed.

Another exhibition is called Sensation. This unique exhibition is taking place 28 September. This sensory trail has visitors explore art through their five senses. This takes place in Chelmsford City.

Essex Craft and Design Show is 28-29 September. It is from 10am to 5pm. There are two locations at this exhibition: Cressing Temple Barns and Hylands House. Again, many mediums are being used by the artists who are in various stages of their careers. There will be arts and crafts for sale as well as demonstrations and chances to meet some of the artists.

During 28 September through 5 October the exhibition at the Malden Art Trail will be occurring. This takes place at a sea town on The River Blackwater. The last exhibition to take place in Essex County is The Hadleigh Art Trail. This exhibition occurs between 4 October and 13 October. There will be art on display in various places around town including shops, businesses, public spaces, and open studios. There are also exhibitions at the Hadleigh Old Fire Station.
